Heights Swim Cadets to perform annual show March 10–12

The 2016 Heights High Swim Cadets.

The Swim Cadets, Cleveland Heights High School’s synchronized swim team, will perform on March 10, 11 and 12, at 7 p.m.

This year’s performance, themed “On the Run,” is the culmination of five months of 12–15 hours of practice weekly.

As the oldest extracurricular organization at Heights High, the Swim Cadets is steeped in history.

Maya Hubbard, the club’s co-president, said, “Swim Cadets is one of the best clubs at Heights. It's been a part of the school since 1939—almost 80 years! Synchronized swimming isn't typical of many places, so it's very cool to be a part of a club like this. Each year I look forward to meeting and getting to know a new group of girls, and becoming closer to each other as the season goes on."

This year’s Swim Cadet officers are co-presidents Maya Hubbard and  Grace Peppler, treasurer Aubrey Fort, secretary Sophie Levan, and sergeant-at-arms Allegra Steiger. Madison Walker, a former Swim Cadet and Heights High graduate.

The performances will take place at the Warrensville Heights High School pool, at 14270 Northfields Road, Warrensville Heights—a 10- to 15-minute ride from Cleveland Heights. Parking is available in front of school.

Tickets are $8 and are available in advance from Swim Cadet club members, and at the door.

[Note: The 7 p.m. performance time is an updated time.]
