Cleveland City Dance
Our mission is to instill an appreciation and love for the art of dance through professional training and education. This esteem-building approach encourages students to excel at their individual pace while reaching their full potential, whether recreational or professional. Cleveland City Dance offers Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Graham-based and Hawkin-based Modern, Hip-Hop and more. Our schedule runs (6) six days a week throughout the year. Our school year schedule (September- June) offers over 75 classes and our summer schedule offers over 55 classes and several camp levels for students based on ability. Classes are offered at all levels, from beginning to advanced starting from 2-½ yrs to adult. This allows students to be placed according to their individual ability, to be the best they can be and lets them enjoy dance in a safe structured environment. Our Instructors have years of experience as professional dancers, teachers and choreographers in the community and nationally. They are always happy to work with students on an individual basis to help bring out the best in them.
Cleveland Garlic Festival
This year North Union Farmers Market presents the second annual Cleveland Garlic Festival at Shaker Square! Cleveland Garlic Festival 2011 is a broad-based community event that incorporates local businesses through food, art and talent. This grassroots food and music fundraiser will take place Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11, 2011. All proceeds will support North Union’s mission of championing local foods by connecting certified producers with consumers through a network of markets. Cleveland Garlic Festival will be ground zero for “all things garlic” in the Midwest Great Lakes region. Cuyahoga Weavers Guild
The Cuyahoga Weavers Guild is an organization open to all weavers, spinners and any others interested in textiles and fiber arts. We have monthly programs, host workshops, and welcome people of all skill levels to join us. The weaving guild year is September through June. Meetings are generally held the third Thursday of the month at the Church of the Savior, 2537 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, OH (when we're not on a field trip, check the web site for details). Brown bag lunch usually starts at 11:30 am, the business meeting at 12:30 pm and the program at 1:00 pm.

Dobama Theatre
Dobama is a professional theater dedicated to innovative programming, professional performance standards, and the nurturing and development of new audiences, playwrights, and other theater artists. Our mainstage productions - all World, American, Midwest, or Cleveland Premieres - showcase important plays written by the established and emerging playwrights of our day. Dobama's Night Kitchen offers late-night programming specifically oriented to involve young adults, fifteen to "30 somethings" as both audience members and participants. The annual Marilyn Bianchi Kids' Playwriting Festival, now in its 30th year, was the first event of its kind in the country. The nurturing of new playwrights and their work permeates all Dobama programming, and is the catalyst for all that we do. Through our production of "significant" contemporary plays and related educational events, Dobama seeks to create a community dialogue on contemporary issues.

Ensemble Theatre
Ensemble Theatre of Cleveland has been a CH business since its founding by Lucia Colombi Cosentino in 1979. Ensemble lived at The Civic at Mayfield and Lee for 18 years before it was evicted in 2003. Facing History and Ourselves opens Choosing to Participate exhibit
Facing History and Ourselves is an international educational and professional development organization headquartered in Brookline, Massachusetts. For more than 30 years, Facing History has produced classroom resources and effective educational strategies that promote student engagement, critical thinking, and a scholarly approach to the study of history. Since its opening in 1999, the Cleveland regional office has trained more than 800 local educators through their professional development programs. These teachers annually reach over 80,000 middle and high school students in 190 public, religious, and independent schools throughout the greater Cleveland area. Facing History and Ourselves, will open its nationally acclaimed interactive multimedia exhibit, Choosing to Participate, to the public at the Western Reserve Historical Society from October 22, 2009 through February 26, 2010.

Fresh Fork Market is a local Farm Buying Club, similar to a CSA program. Fresh Fork Market is a weekly subscription service to fresh and local foods. You sign up for a subscription, then every week for 22 weeks over the summer they meet you at one of our pick up locations and give you a package of groceries. This package is a “grab bag” of fresh and local ingredients from over 100 local area farmers. There are over 18 pick up locations, including one at the Fairmount Presbyterian overflow parking lot at Coventry and Fairmount.

Ohio Philharmonic Orchestra
The Ohio Philharmonic Orchestra is committed to bridging the gap between new audiences and classical music. There is a great difference in musical appreciation of all types of music from generation to generation. How can we find a common avenue of appreciation that can form bonds and relationships beyond the concert hall? By listening to and engaging our young audiences we can find a path together that can use classical music to strengthen education and character. This is a founding goal of The Ohio Philharmonic Orchestra - to bring new audiences and new musicians into the realm of Classical Music.
Open Doors Academy
Open Doors Academy, a 501(c)(3)nonprofit based in Cleveland Hts., is an extended learning academy designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment promoting academic, emotional, and social enrichment for middle-school students in unity with family, school, and community. Open Doors Academy's students’ achievements are proof that its model works. With 100% of its students graduating high school and 100% continuing with post-secondary education, the success of Open Doors Academy is undeniable. Operating at 4 locations (Cleveland, Euclid, Cleveland Heights and University Heights), the 160 middle-school students enrolled in its extended learning academy are transformed as each child gains confidence through enrichment programming, while receiving help with homework and embracing the vision of a positive future for themselves. Ninety percent of these children come from low-income households, 67% from families with an annual income under $19,000 for a family of 4. Patti's Paladins is a group of friends who fundraise in order to support the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
