Sophie Fleischer's package design.
Sophie Fleischer, a second grader at Canterbury Elementary, has been named a finalist in a national package design competition sponsored by Marzetti Old Fashioned Caramel Apple-Dip. Her design was one of three chosen in the 1-to--8-year-old category. More than 1,500 designs were entered nationwide.
If Sophie wins, Canterbury Elementary School art program will receive 10 Wacom Bamboo Tablets (for drawing on computers). The winner will be determined by the number of votes registered at Marzetti’s sweepstakes Web site, www.udipsweepstakes.com.
There are 11 other finalists. The school district urges Heights residents to show their support by reviewing Sophie's package design and voting for her on the Web site.
