University Heights summer concerts move to JCU

With the closing of Wiley Middle School, the longtime home of University Heights’s annual free Summer Concert Series, the city has moved this summer’s performances to John Carroll University, in front of Grasselli Library.

Concerts take place on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m., through Aug. 14, with the following performers scheduled for July and August:

July 3: University Heights Symphonic Band *

July 10: Blue Lunch

July 17: The Sloppy Joe Band

July 24: Red Light Roxy

July 31: 730 Club *

Aug. 7: Yiddishe Cup Klezmer Band

Aug. 14: Ronnie Fiorentino

Concert dates marked with an asterisk (*) will feature an ice cream social as part of the evening program.

Those attending are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets. In case of rain, the concert will move inside to JCU's Dolan Science Center.
