School facilities bond issue: are you for or against?

The CH-UH Board of Education has voted to place a school facilities bond issue on the November ballot. The plan calls for a two-phase process of refurbishing most school buildings while closing Wiley Middle School, and Noble and Fairfax elementary schools. The proposed project will undoubtedly raise your taxes, but it may also raise the value of your property.

How do you feel about the proposed bond issue? The Heights Observer wants to hear from you. Our plan is to publish letters on both sides of the issue. Our intent is to provide as much information as we can from now until Election Day.

If you had to vote today, would it be yes or no? What are your reasons?

Write a letter to the editor of the Heights Observer and submit it via the online Heights Observer Member Center. Go to www.heightsobserver.org and click on Member Center (on the left), then click on Sign Up (green button on the right) and follow the prompts to submit your letter on the issue. (If you have any trouble submitting your letter, send an e-mail to info@heightsobserver.org.)
