'Fine Lines' opens at St. Paul’s South Wing Gallery on Dec. 9

“Fine Lines” gallery show will open Friday, Dec. 9 at the South Wing Gallery in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with an artist reception and open house from 5 to 7 p.m. The public is invited.

Featured artists are Howard Collier, charcoal drawings; Mike Gold, calligrapher; Gary Schmidt, sculptural pottery; and Kate Snow, relief prints.

Howard Collier studied at Brooklyn College in New York and has shown his work widely in the Cleveland area, where he works and teaches at local colleges.

Mike Gold has worked in calligraphy as a fine artist and teacher in the United States and Canada and is a designer with American Greetings Corp. He has exhibited extensively in New Mexico and Northeast Ohio.

Gary Schmidt approaches creating pottery from the viewpoint of a painter, photographer and constructionist in art. His works are unique sculptural forms in line, shapes and color.

Kate Snow studied drawing and photography in California prior to coming to Cleveland. She is focused on print making in black and white motifs that are small in scale. Her process is similar to that of fine photography.

St. Paul’s Church is located at 2747 Fairmount Blvd. at Coventry Road. The show will run from Dec. 9 through March 4. For more information, call 216-319-3602.
