Cleveland Heights-University Heights district awarded “Exemplary Saver” designation
Ohio Schools Council, a consortium of 157 school districts that use cooperative purchasing to “save” school dollars, recognized the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District as an “Exemplary Saver” district.
The district received the designation because it ranked in the top 25 percentile of schools that make smart, money-saving decisions. Specifically, the Ohio Schools Council recognized CH-UH’s leadership in the regional joint purchases of gas, electric and supply products.
“We are grateful the Ohio Schools Council recognized our commitment to using tax dollars wisely,” said Scott Gainer, chief financial officer and treasurer of Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District. “By sharing services with other districts, we can work together to use our resources in the most efficient way possible.”
