Canterbury Elementary holds health fair
Health Fair at Canterbury Elementary on September 22
Canterbury Elementary School in the Cleveland Heights–University Heights City School District is hosting a health fair on Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. “Grow Healthy, Get Fit” is the theme of the fair, which will promote healthy eating and outdoor fitness activities.
"As the new head tiger here at Canterbury Elementary, I see this as just another part of our transformation," said Stacy Stuhldreher, Canterbury principal. "We are improving in all areas. To be our best academically, we have to take care of our bodies, mind and spirit. I'm expecting our families to participate in full force. It will be fun."
Sponsored by the Cleveland Clinic, the Browns’ Play 60, and Whole Foods Market, the event will take place in the Canterbury Elementary School gymnasium and outdoor fields. Parents are invited to sign up for health sessions hosted by the Cleveland Clinic, while students participate in team building activities and outdoor fitness games. Following the health sessions and physical activities, a healthy and nutritious salad bar will be served.
