Schools website wins national recognition

Angee Shaker, Director of Communications and Community Engagement

The Cleveland Heights–University Heights City School District has won a National Award of Merit from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for the quality of the district’s website.

“Our website is our communications hub,” said Angee Shaker, the district's director of communications and community engagement. “At the district and school levels, we have all taken ownership of it. Our stakeholders can find everything they want to know. If some piece of information isn’t on the website itself, visitors are directed to the right person to contact. That has been our goal for the website, and this award from NSPRA is a greatly appreciated and a tremendous acknowledgment of our work.”

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District recently redesigned its website to further enhance communications with parents, students, staff, and the community. NSPRA is an organization committed to developing support and trust, through public relations, that is responsible and leads to success for all students.
