Mike Gaynier announces candidacy for Cleveland Heights City Council

Mike Gaynier has announced his candidacy for Cleveland Heights City Council. Gaynier is currently board president of Cleveland Heights’s Home Repair Resource Center (HRRC), and a senior consultant for creativechange.biz, focused on executive coaching, leadership development, cultural competence, and helping nonprofits improve performance.
Leading HRRC the past three years, Gaynier has worked to protect and preserve neighborhoods—helping to prevent foreclosures, reduce vacancies and rehabilitate neglected properties— to support diversity and sustainability in Cleveland Heights.
Gaynier has 25 years experience in business leadership roles, developing people, solving problems and helping organizations thrive. “My campaign is all about better outcomes for our community,” Gaynier said.
Gaynier’s focus will be economic development, public safety, housing, strengthening schools, regional cooperation, and support for the nonprofit community in Cleveland Heights.
In addition, he serves as a Red Cross Disaster Action Team leader, and is on the Leadership Council of the ACLU of Cleveland. Gaynier and his wife Lisa live on Berkshire Road.
