Annual fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis helps families in Northeast Ohio; relies on contributions from the community.
The Karen Foundation for MS (TKF) celebrates its 11th annual NFL Draft Day Party on Saturday, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Barley House Cleveland in the Warehouse District downtown. The Karen Foundation raises money to provide respite care for families in Northeast Ohio who have a loved one at home suffering from multiple sclerosis. These services make an marked impact on the quality of life of patients and their families by providing relief opportunities to caretakers.
The event features Cleveland Browns players, including 2010 first round draft pick Joe Haden as well as legends Hanford Dixon, Greg Pruitt, and Dave Mays.
Early in the day, a live broadcast on ESPN Radio 850 AM features a post-draft analysis panel with hosts Tony Rizzo of the Really Big Show and former Cleveland Brown LeCharles Bentley.
Live music kicks off the party and lasts all day. Other entertainment throughout the day offers something for everyone, including appearances by Gladiator players and their Goddesses, celebrity bartenders, a balloon artist, caricature artist, psychic, manicurist, and more.
Meanwhile, guests of the event can bid on items in the huge silent auction, a very important part of the Draft Day Party. Popular prizes include gift certificates, sports or entertainment tickets, hotel weekends,
