Enjoy free family fun at Cedar Fairmount festival

Enjoy free family fun on Sunday, Aug. 8 from noon to 4 p.m. during Discover Cedar Fairmount Festival at the intersection of Cedar Road and Fairmount Boulevard in Cleveland Heights.

There will be games, face painting, a bubble machine, clowns, a puppet show, local artists and musicians. Take a ride on a pony or zip through the neighborhood on the Euclid Beach Rocket Car.

There will be fun for the adults, as well, including authors’ book signings, a 'green' gardening talk, and multiethnic food and beverages from the neighborhood’s many restaurants. The Alcazar will feature a concert by the Scimitars, a 16-piece swing band, playing the best music of the 1940s and ‘50s.

For more information, call  216-791-3172 or visit www.cedarfairmount.org.

Janet Hildebrandt is the manager of the Alcazar.
