Traffic laws apply to cyclists, too

It is admirable that the cyclists of Cleveland Heights wish to make Cleveland Heights more bicycle friendly.  I certainly hope that this includes informing the cyclists that traffic laws apply to them as well as automobile drivers.

I cannot count the number of times that I have witnessed a cyclist ride through a stop sign or stop light, dart from a driveway into the flow of traffic, or ride off the sidewalk into the flow of traffic.

On some occasions when I have suggested to a cyclist that the laws apply to them as well as drivers, I have been told to do something which I believe is physically impossible.
