Heights Suburban Collaborative Hosts DCFS In the Neighborhood Meeting

Keeping children safe from abuse and neglect is the main focus for The Division of Children and Family Services, but we can’t do it alone. We rely on the help and support of the entire community to help keep children safe and families healthy.
We want you to get to know us, learn what we do, and how we can work together to help families. DCFS will be in community neighborhoods throughout 2019 to present focused topics and have staff available to address specific cases and personal questions.
The Heights Suburban Collaborative will be sponsoring a In Your Neighborhood event on Tuesday, November 12th at the Cleveland Heights/University Heights Library Main Branch - 2345 Lee Road, from 5:00pm -7:00pm. These events are FREE and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
The Fatherhood Initiative will be present to talk about Safe Sleep for babies. Eligible families can receive a free pack-n-play for infants and resources. You must register for the free pack-n-play. Please contact Arlene Castañeda at 216.325.9132 for additional information and/or to register for a pack-n-play.

A documentary that delves into the tumultuous history of electric rail in Cleveland. From the violent uprising of the 1899 Streetcar Strikes to Harvey Pekar’s musings about life in a 1980s streetcar suburb, journey back to a city ruled by rail and remnants still with us today.
