The Whole Megillah - in an Ice Cream Factory! (Purim at Mitchell's)
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Beth El –The Heights Synagogue will hold its Purim evening service and Megillah reading at Mitchell’s Ice Cream Factory, 1867 West 25th Street in Ohio City, on Wednesday night February 28. The service starts at 7:00 pm.

Why? (1) Historically, Jews seem to travel for many of our holidays: think of Passover and Sukkot — so why not? (2) More fun! It’s amazing to see an ice cream factory, and they have glass walls so you can see the whole thing in operation. (3) Ice cream! Part of the deal here is that everybody gets a free scoop of Mitchell’s ice cream, in addition to our own hamentaschen, which we will bring in. Choice of 5 kosher flavors. (4) Outreach. This is a longshot of course, but there are unaffiliated young Jews living in the area; so why not make ourselves known to them.

Free parking is available at the West Side Market parking lot and on streets in the area. Questions? Call the synagogue at 216-320-9667 or email info@bethelheights.org.

As usual, we will read the WHOLE MEGILLAH! Costumes are welcomed but not required. This event is free and open to the public.
