Happy 5K, 10K and 1 Mile Fun Run

The City of Cleveland Heights and its merchants invite you to the 4th annual Happy 5K & 10K and 1 Mile Fun Run on October 7th at 10 am. This event is a celebration of all the good things happening in Cleveland Heights & supports the Cleveland Heights Youth Scholarship Fund.

The race is limited to the first 1000 runners.

The course offers you the opportunity to run the best of Cleveland Heights including two merchant districts, Lee Road and Coventry. Flat and fast with plenty of support along the way! 10K runners will complete the 5K course twice.

Lunch and Learn: “Male-Female Relationships in Jewish Law and Lore: Expected Norms and Mores.”

Join us after Shabbat morning services, about 12:15 pm, for a Lunch and Learn with Rabbi Barry Starr. The talk is entitled “Male-Female Relationships in Jewish Law and Lore: Expected Norms and Mores.” The lunch is vegetarian-friendly. Free and open to all, but non-members are requested to call the synagogue for reservations, 216.320.9667.

Bread of Life - Lecture/ Trolley & Walking Tour

Enjoy learning about the Italian immigrant families who started bakeries and food produce businesses in Northeast Ohio, such as the Orlando's, Lo Presti's and Rini's. Pamela Dorazio Dean, Curator of Italian American History at the Cleveland History Center will spotlight these families and many others that built thriving businesses still going today. Reservations required. $40.00 per person. Package includes: lecture, tour conducted on Lolly the Trolley with some walking involved, followed by a wine tasting at Daffodil Hall. Special thanks to the Northern Ohio Italian American Federation for their support of this project.
