Robert McKimm, president, South Euclid-Lyndhurst Historical Society, salutes South Euclid’s first century and highlights the events of its imminent Centennial celebration: a parade on Memorial Day, May 29; a fun-packed weekend to “Rock the Block” on June 24-25; a street fair on Mayfield Road on June 24 with local bands, tasty food from local eateries, a slam dunk of notable South Euclidians; a concert by the nationally renowned Cleveland Pops Orchestra, June 25, on the lawn at Notre Dame College; and a laser light show after the concert with a 100th Birthday Cake for all to enjoy.

Locks and Doors

It's always a good idea to update the locks on your doors. And sometimes you don't even have a choice. This workshop will help make that task even simpler. You'll learn about the different types of locks and how to choose the best one out for your door. If all you want to do is make an old lock work again, you'll learn that too.

Bail Reform in Ohio: Cleveland Heights Democrats Club Monthly Meeting

Guest Speaker: Mike Brickner, Senior Policy Diector, ACLU of Ohio

After studying the U.S. Supreme Court cases involving the ACLU at the Junior Statesmen of America program at Northwestern University in high school, Mike was inspired to work at the ACLU. He has dedicated his career as Senior Policy Director to mass incarceration issues, particularly the intersection between criminal justice and poverty and the treatment of people in prisons and jail.
