Nicole Burt, Ph.D., a biological anthropologist, recently promoted to curator of human health and evolutionary medicine at Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Her role is truly rare in the museum world, combining cutting-edge research in evolutionary medicine with pioneering outreach to our visitors and to the community. This is an innovative approach to advance the health of our community while blazing an exciting path for the future role of natural history museums.

Starting the Cancer Journey-For those touched by cancer

For those who are newly diagnosed (within the last 6 months) and their family members. Learn strategies to cope with treatment side effects, communication tips and nutrition information. EKPHRASTACY: Artists Talk + Poets Respond

Join Heights Arts for an evening with "Likeness" exhibition artists, who will speak about ideas and processes behind their works, as well as the challenges of creating successful self-portraits.

Cleveland Heights Poet Laureate Christine Howey has invited Northeast Ohio poets Dianne Borsenik, Kisha Nicole Foster, Jayce Renner and AKeemjamal Rollins to respond in poetry to select portraits in the exhibition. They will read their works as well.

Heights High IMD Mid-Winter Concert
7:30 PM - 10:00 PM
The Heights High Symphony will feature senior soloist Daniel Fields during the Instrumental Music Department’s Winter Concert on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m., at the Wiley Campus. Fields, who plays the violin, was a winner of the department’s 2016 Senior Solo Competition.
