Heights Arts members also save 10% on all purchases.

As an additional bonus, the Cedar-Lee District, in partnership with the Heights Library and CSU Small Business Development Center is offering special Shop Small perks to community shoppers. Any customer who spends a minimum of $25 on November 25 with Cedar-Lee businesses, can bring their receipt to the Main Library in exchange for an entry form for a chance to win door prizes. From the purchase of goods, gas & groceries, to services, dinner or a night at the movies, customers will have until noon on Monday, November 27 to submit their entry form.

Make a day of it and patronize the Heights businesses you love, for the community you call home, and for the money that stays in the neighborhood when we all Shop Small.

Mike Belkin and Carlo Wolff, authors of Mike Belkin: Socks, Sports, Rock and Art will be at Mac's Backs to sign copies of the book on Saturday, November 25th from 1-2 p.m.

Clevelanders and non-Clevelanders are familiar with the Belkin name---a family that has promoted music in large and small venues in the Cleveland area for almost 50 years.

In 1959, after chasing a professional baseball career in the Milwaukee Braves farm system, Mike Belkin was making a name for himself in the Belkin family clothing business. But very soon, the name of this son of Russian immigrants would become synonymous with top-quality live music shows and spectacular festivals – and he would become known as one of the architects of the rock ’n’ roll industry. Belkin later made a name for himself as an authority and collector in the prestigious world of art glass.

Driven by a competitive spirit and a zest for life, Mike Belkin’s life makes for a one-of-a-kind story of success in business and zest for life.

Part memoir, part history of rock ’n’ roll, this biography is a success story of an immigrant son breaking new ground in rock entertainment. It is also the story of a man’s passion for art and life.

This colorful and rollicking biography is illustrated with more than 150 photos, illustrations and rare archival images.

Mike Belkin's co-author Carlo Wolff is a journalist specializing in popular culture and music writing He edited Cleveland Rock & Roll Memories, a terrific oral history of Cleveland music stories and anecdotes
