Active Yoga ~'~ Loving Hands Yoga

Active Yoga – This is a moderate-intensity class, perfect for those with previous yoga experience. In this class we gradually increase our heart rate, flow aerobically through various poses, and work on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. We focus on the yoga principles of alignment, connecting our breath with our movement, and practicing present-moment awareness. The level of challenge is designed around the students’ desires and abilities.

"Refugees of Shangri-La" film screening and panel discussion

Heights Library, ASIA inc, and Garfield Memorial Church will partner to offer a public screening and panel discussion of "Refugees of Shangri-La," a documentary depicting the experience of a Bhutanese refugees. The event will take place at Garfield Church, 1534 South Euclid Rd in South Euclid.

To the Orchard

Playwrights Local 4181 presents the world premiere of Les Hunter’s “To the Orchard.” In this contemporary drama, college student Rachel Bergman reveals her sexual identity to her Orthodox Jewish father, who also is struggling with his own hidden past. In coming to terms with each other, the pair must reconcile the conflicting pulls of tradition and desire.

Directed by Dale Heinen, “To the Orchard” is currently a finalist for the Jewish Plays Project’s 2016 national contest. The play runs May 27-June 5 at Waterloo Arts and June 10-12 at Dobama Theatre. Tickets are available at http://playwrightslocal.org/to-the-orchard/.
