Sugar Blues program and luncheon at The College Club

Do you get the sugar blues? Do you crave sweet snacks to give you energy, but end up more tired afterwards? Have you noticed that you carry a few extra pounds, or have poor sleep, or feel stressed in your day-to-day life? If so, this presentation is for you.

Our speaker, Mary McGeary, is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. She supports folks in reaching health goals, increasing energy, and feeling great about our bodies. This presentation will permanently change your relationship with sugar!

Candidate Forum Focused on Early Childhood Education

The Cleveland Association for the Education of Young Children is hosting a Candidate Forum
featuring candidates in races impacting Northeast Ohioans and focused on early childhood education, moderated by Plain Dealer education reporter, Patrick O'Donnell.

CAEYC is an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the leading voice of early childhood professionals. NAEYC promotes high-quality early learning for all children birth through age 8 by connecting practice, policy, and research. Please find attached a document that outlines NAEYC's priorities and principles. NAEYC has initiated the Early Ed for President movement, an ongoing electoral advocacy effort that starts with the 2016 Presidential race.

Silent Films in Sixteen: Charlie Chaplin
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
In 1916, Charlie Chaplin was given his own Los Angeles studio to create his films in by Mutual Film Corporation. We will be viewing two of these early films, The Vagabond (24 minutes) and The Fireman (32 minutes). Part of our Heights Libraries Centennial Celebration.
