Carla Bailey, coordinator for American Field Services at Heights High, introduces refugee students from Iraq, Nepal, Bhutan, Namibia, and the Congo, for whom, with her colleague, Kathleen Scully, she serves as their cultural interpreter, advocate, driver, English language assistant, and at times surrogate parent.
