Gary Hanson, Executive Director of the Cleveland Orchestra, luncheon and program at The College Club

Gary Hanson, Executive Director of The Cleveland Orchestra, will speak on the exciting things that have been happening with the Cleveland Orchestra.

He has introduced programs over the years such as annual residency in Miami, addition of the opera and classical ballet to the Cleveland fine arts scene, and the development of the nation’s youngest core audience. His partnership with Franz Welser-Most has continued expansion of the Orchestra’s international presence and education and community engagement, as well as new programs like the Summers@Severance on Friday evenings the performances on the road.

We will learn what it takes to make the Orchestra run behind the scenes.

Hospice Volunteer Education
5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Mondays and Tuesdays, March 23, 24, 30, and 31 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Hospice of the Western Reserve, Great Lakes Conference Room, 300 East 185th Street, Cleveland, OH 44119. Anyone 13 years of age or older interested in making a difference in the lives of others is welcome to attend this training. Most volunteers interested in working with patients attend all sessions while volunteers in non patient areas and teen volunteers only attend the class on March 23rd. RSVP required. Home Grown Food: Introduction to Beekeeping

Larry Theurer from the Greater Cleveland Beekeepers Association will present on how to get started keeping bees in your own backyard, including basic techniques and equipment, rules and regulations, bee biology and diseases, beekeeping management, and how to improve your skills.

HRRC Workshop: "Copper & Plastic Water Lines"

You’ll learn how to measure, cut and connect pipes and fittings in copper, as well as in CPVC and PEX (types of plastic piping frequently used as an alternative to copper).

Gentle Yoga *FREE* Loving Hands Yoga
7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Gentle Yoga – This class provides all the benefits of yoga, but at a more relaxed pace. It is perfect for beginners, or experienced yogis who prefer a slower practice. We work on our strength, breathing, balance, and flexibility through gentle, fluid poses and stretching. Meditation exercises at the beginning and end of the class help to release stress and worry. We also discuss methods for bringing peace and relaxation into our daily lives. This class provides a peaceful and relaxing way to end the evening!
