Hospice Volunteer Education

Hospice Volunteer Education – Sundays, July 20, 27, Aug. 3, Aug. 10, from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at Hospice of the Western Reserve, St. John’s West Shore Hospital, 29101 Health Campus Dr., Building 2, Suite 400, Westlake, OH 44145. Anyone 13 years of age or older interested in making a difference in the lives of others is welcome to attend this training. Volunteers interested in working with patients attend all sessions, while volunteering in non-patient areas and teen volunteering requires only attendance at the first class on July 20. RSVP required. Contact the Volunteer Team at 800-707-8922 (6881). Classes are offered at other times and days throughout the year. Residents of Cleveland Heights are launching an alternative service exchange system, called a Time Bank.
Participants earn 'time credits' or 'hours' when they perform needed services for other participants. Credits or hours are electronically 'banked' for spending on services from other participants.
All are welcome. There is no cost to join.
