Hospice of the Western Reserve Warehouse Sale
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hospice of the Western Reserve Warehouse Sale – The proceeds will support seriously ill patients of all ages and their families, veterans in need of socialized care, and grief, trauma and bereavement counseling in schools and the community. The next warehouse sale will be held Friday, May 9, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 10, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hospice of the Western Reserve Headquarters, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland 44110.

The sale will feature high quality, gently used furniture, accessory pieces, antiques and collectibles, garden/patio décor, pottery and glass, as well as unique decorative accessories to accentuate any style. Cash and major credit cards (VISA, MaserCard, and Discover) will be accepted for payment (no checks). Ample parking for the warehouse sale will be available in the Hospice of the Western parking lot. Follow the “Warehouse Sale” signs upon arrival at the agency’s site.

To donate items for the sale, contact the Warehouse Sale Team at 800-707-8922, ext 6881. NOTE: The agency is unable to accept bedding, books, clothing, cribs and car seats, small electronics, small and major appliances, medical supplies, sporting goods, children’s toys and games, computers and related hardware, mattresses and box springs, televisions and stuffed animals.

CIA 2014 Bachelors of Fine Art Exhibitions

With over 1,200 objects of art and design exhibited throughout the Cleveland Institute of Art in a one-week span, CIA's Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition is one of the most comprehensive visual art events of the year in Northern Ohio. Visit all 100+ displays and experience the future of art and design.

Public viewing hours in CIA's Gund and McCullough buildings are Friday, May 9, from 5:30-10pm and Saturday, May 10, from 10am–5pm. The BFA celebration is hosted by our community partner, MOCA Cleveland on Friday night, May 9, 7:30-10pm. The celebration and exhibitions are free and open to the public. Music Director Anne Wilson’s 25th anniversary concert and celebration
7:30 PM
The public is invited to celebrate Cleveland Heights composer/musician Anne Wilson’s 25th anniversary as music director and organist at Forest Hill Church. The free concert, entirely of Wilson’s own music, will be followed by a reception in her honor. Special guest organist Tom Trenney will also perform.

Heights High Gospel Choir Concert
7:30 PM
The Heights Gospel Choir club will perform How Great Thou Art on Friday, May 9th at 7:30p.m., Wiley Auditorium.

The concert will feature solos by seniors Devin Davis and Kaitlin James and sophomores Jada Prewitt-Johnson and Olivia Brown. The concert will also include a liturgical dance performance by seniors Becky Bebee, Kaitlin James and Krystal Ubani.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens. Call 216-469-1424 for more information.

"It is with mixed emotions that we perform at Wiley Middle School. Mr. Glenn Brackens has been instrumental in the growth of the Gospel Choir by sending us so many outstanding performers over the years. Thank you," said Heights Gospel Choir Director Sandra Dixon.

The choir just returned from their Spring Break Tour in Greensboro, North Carolina where they performed in several churches, the North Carolina Black Repertory Company and the International Civil Rights Museum.
