Fairmount Church Strawberry Festival

The public is invited to the 61st Fairmount Presbyterian Church Strawberry Festival. It will be held Sunday, June 3, from 11:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., following the 10 a.m. service. The festival will be on the church grounds at 2757 Fairmount Boulevard at Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights.
In addition to the traditional ice cream and cake topped off with fresh strawberries, there will be hot dogs, pizza, beverages, rides in the Euclid Beach Rocket Car, live music by Otis and the Shoreway Saints, the Flower Clown, and a variety of kids games and activities. New this year will be a cotton candy machine, a popcorn maker and a family photo op.
Dating back to the 1950s, the Fairmount Presbyterian Church Strawberry Festival has been an annual Cleveland Heights spring tradition.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children. More information is available from the church at (216) 321-5800.

Lake View Cemetery - Architectual Walking Tour

Tour The Lake View Cemetery with Dale Serne, Principal of Dale Serne Architects, who will explain some of the architectual gems in the cemetery. Featured buildings include: The Community Mausoleum, Garfield Monument; Wade Chapel; and the Burke Mausoleum. Reservations and a $7.00 fee required. Please call Ellen at 216-453-0954 to reserve your spot. Tour will begin at the Garfield Monument.

MARILYN BIANCHI KIDS’ PLAYWRITING FESTIVAL AND DOBAMA YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS COMPETITION

Dobama Theatre proudly announces the winners of both the Marilyn Bianchi Kids’ Playwriting Festival and the Dobama Young Playwrights Competition. Selected winning plays from the Marilyn Bianchi Kids’ Playwriting Festival will be given staged readings from June 1-3, and Dobama Young Playwrights plays will be fully produced from June 7-10.

Come to your child's CH-UH elementary school and have a free dinner in the cafeteria. Then visit the library to choose and borrow books.
