Yoga for Lean Bodies *FREE* Loving Hands Yoga

Vinyasa (flowing) yoga is a powerful component of a healthy lifestyle that aids in creating a leaner body. We move very actively through poses in this class, keeping an elevated heart rate to help burn calories. The body awareness and present-moment awareness that we learn in yoga also help us to be more conscious of what we put into our bodies, and helps us to be gentle and accepting of ourselves along our lean body journey. This is an active level class, perfect for those with previous yoga experience or those who are already fairly physically fit.

This is a moderate-intensity class, perfect for those with previous yoga experience. In this class we gradually increase our heart rate, flow aerobically through various poses, and work on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. We focus on the yoga principles of alignment, connecting our breath with our movement, and practicing present-moment awareness. The level of challenge is designed around the students' desires and abilities.

Lake View Cemetery - Geology Walking Tour

Joe Hannibal of The Cleveland Museum of Natural History will guide a tour to examine thhe rocks and minerals that make up the monuments and buildings in the southern part of the cemetery, including the old bluestone quarry and the Garfield Monument. Reserrvations and a $7 fee required. Please call Ellen at 216-453-0954

23rd Parade the Circle and Circle Village

"The Gem in Your Backyard" summer benefit at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes

"The Gem in Your Backyard" promises a dazzling evening under the stars including dinner presented by Marigold Catering, a live auction and raise the paddle and music and dancing by Special Request. The summer benefit is the largest fundraiser hosted by the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes to support its mission to conserve a natural area, connect people with nature and inspire environmental stewardship.

MARILYN BIANCHI KIDS’ PLAYWRITING FESTIVAL AND DOBAMA YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS COMPETITION

Dobama Theatre proudly announces the winners of both the Marilyn Bianchi Kids’ Playwriting Festival and the Dobama Young Playwrights Competition. Selected winning plays from the Marilyn Bianchi Kids’ Playwriting Festival will be given staged readings from June 1-3, and Dobama Young Playwrights plays will be fully produced from June 7-10.
