THE WALWORTH FARCE by Enda Walsh
2:30 PM
Meet Dinny and his two sons, Blake and Sean. They live in a rundown flat in London but they miss their native Ireland. Dinny brought them there when they were very young and now he keeps them virtually as prisoners and forces them to perform a bizarre farce. Hilarious, horrifying and ferociously entertaining, THE WALWORTH FARCE is an insight into what happens when we become stuck in the stories we tell ourselves about our lives. Complete with rapid-fire costume changes and mistaken identities, Walsh’s award-winning play wraps its biting social commentary in high farce.

THE WALWORTH FARCE features Andrew Cruse*, Carly Germany, Bob Goddard and Daniel McElhaney. Marc Moritz directs.

13th Annual A Taste of Little Italy
3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
One of a Kind School Fundraiser Draws Crowds and Supports Local Business

On Sunday, September 19, the 13th annual A Taste of Little Italy will dish up food, wine and music, all to support a community institution.

Cleveland’s most authentic Italian cultural event supports the outstanding educational experience offered by the Montessori School at Holy Rosary. Last year, A Taste of Little Italy attracted 1,000 people and contributed more than $50,000 to the scholarship fund, which provides tuition assistance for about half of the school’s students.

Former Cleveland Browns coach and honorary chair Sam Rutigliano and Anthony Pilla, bishop emeritus of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland will host the event, scheduled for 3 to 7 p.m. in the courtyard of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 12021 Mayfield Road in Little Italy.

More than 35 local restaurants and purveyors of fine food and wines will serve up a variety of savory treats and delicious sweets, paired with more than 200 varietal wines poured by local and national distributors. Last year’s Best Dessert was prepared by Anthony's Ristorante & Wine Bar. Michaelangelo's won for Best Entrée.

Attendees will enjoy the sounds of Italian music and entertainment by local artists, including Scott Brotherton, Damien Fontaine, Rick and Sharona, Joe Abate, Sam Mussarra & John Coatte.

Silent and live auctions will be held, featuring services and packages from Cleveland area businesses. The Grand Prize raffle ticket will also be drawn, awarding an 11-day trip for two to Italy by DaVinci Custom Travel and Tours, including airfare from Cleveland and car rental, cooking classes at a Tuscan winery, a tour of ancient Rome and wine tastings.

Prior to the event, a Home Wine Maker’s Contest will take place on Saturday, September 11th, and the winner will be announced at Taste. For details, call Matt Silvaggio at 440.292.6985. The entry deadline is August 26th.

A Taste of Little Italy event tickets are $70 in advance and $75 at the door. Groups of 10 are $650. Tickets can be purchased at Little Italy Wines, 12408 Mayfield, or by calling the school at 216.421.0700. Raffle tickets are $10 each, and will be sold at the North Union Farmer’s Market in Shaker Square on Saturday mornings, and on weekend evenings in Little Italy during August and September.

Event and Raffle Tickets may also be purchased from the school’s website at www.montessori-holyrosary.org.

The Montessori School at Holy Rosary is a non-profit, urban school providing community-based education for a diverse student body of over 100 children, preschool to eighth grade. The school is dedicated to developing children’s emerging potential according to the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician and child advocate. The school has become an integral part of Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood, since its establishment in 1995 with 14 students.
