The Individual & Society: OddyFest #25

Kicking off the third straight year of monthly productions,
OddyFest returns to one-man shows, but this time with an Oddy twist…

“Stalling, The Meeting of the Alec Guinness Fan Club, and The Bedtime Conversations of Ted McGill” by Ian Adler
Witness theatrical collage at its Oddy-est as what originally started out as three separate (one-man) plays by Ian Adler converge into a massive absurdist work, juxtaposing metatheatre, the world of sleep, and the films of one of last century’s greatest actors.

A small cornucopia of readings from Cat R. Kenney
The oft-featured Oddy playwright returns with a collection of small works, among them one-woman monologues.

The return of Allison Bencar (9/17 only)!
Delightful local singer Allison Bencar performed at Oddy’s first-ever show at the library in Sep. ’09 and, to celebrate the one-year anniversary of our use of the space, she returns to sing some more original hits!

The Odd FRIDAYS:
September 3 / September 17
Show starts at 7:15

BRODY-NELSON ROOM

THE WALWORTH FARCE by Enda Walsh
8:00 PM
Meet Dinny and his two sons, Blake and Sean. They live in a rundown flat in London but they miss their native Ireland. Dinny brought them there when they were very young and now he keeps them virtually as prisoners and forces them to perform a bizarre farce. Hilarious, horrifying and ferociously entertaining, THE WALWORTH FARCE is an insight into what happens when we become stuck in the stories we tell ourselves about our lives. Complete with rapid-fire costume changes and mistaken identities, Walsh’s award-winning play wraps its biting social commentary in high farce.

THE WALWORTH FARCE features Andrew Cruse*, Carly Germany, Bob Goddard and Daniel McElhaney. Marc Moritz directs.
*Member of Actors‘ Equity Association
