Voltimand & Cornelius Are Dead, Too: OddyFest #19

OddyFest’s March program features an Oddy first—a full-length
radio play! If you thought you knew Hamlet, think again...

“Voltimand and Cornelius Are Dead, Too” by Matt Greenfield

In this collaboration between Oddy and members of the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival written by Matt Greenfield, the worlds of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” and Tom Stoppard’s “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead” collide as two even-more-minor characters from the most famous play ever, Voltimand and Cornelius, attempt to determine the significance of their miniscule roles in classical existential fashion.

This production will feature only two mainstage actors, the excerpts from the source material plays being provided through spliced recordings!
