"Making the Case: A Novelist's Plea on Behalf of Reading" with Paul L. Gaston, III

Paul L. Gaston, III, is a popular speaker in venues around the world on topics ranging from health care legislation to the future of the book. In addition to John Updike, he has written about the fiction of Walker Percy and the poetry of George Herbert.
He serves Kent State University, an eight-campus doctoral/research-extensive institution, as its sole Trustee Professor. This appointment recognizes both his service as provost of the university from 1999-2007 and the breadth of his commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and research in higher education reform, public policy, and the humanities.
