Dobama Theatre Presents
The Cleveland Plays: Part I: Migration
May 9-June 1, 2008
By Eric Coble, Nina Domingue, Eric Schmiedl
Directed by Eric Schmiedl
Dobama Theatre is embarking on a bold new project, a Cleveland Cycle of Plays. The impetus for this project was to provide Cleveland artists an opportunity to respond to challenges facing our home, Cleveland.
Each play in the cycle will be inspired by a challenge that Cleveland is facing. Cleveland playwrights will be chosen to write each play, which will be directed, produced, designed and performed by Cleveland artists.
Part I: Migration
Who stays…who leaves…when do you dig in and when do you bail? Two Cleveland families wrestle with these important questions in this new provocative play by Cleveland playwrights Eric Coble, Nina Domingue, and Eric Schmiedl. And wandering through the intersecting stories is none other than Moses Cleaveland, trying to answer for himself: what does place mean to a life?
Location:
Brooks Theater, Cleveland Play House
8500 Euclid Avenue
Cleveland, OH 44106
